DESCRIPTION
Not only is this ravishing little speck of paradise the only island in the Maldives that can be privately booked, it is also uniquely luxurious in that each of the six stunning beach bungalows is partnered by an even more stunning 65 foot ?dhoni' or Maldivian yacht. Or perhaps it should be the other way round, so fantastically luxurious are these handbuilt watercraft.
Thirty minutes by seaplane from Male or a few languorous hours aboard a guest's newly acquired private dhoni brings arrivals to the island for a complete suspension of reality. Private butlers are on call 24 hours a day to fulfil every whim, leaving guests nothing more taxing to do than revel in the sunsets and ponder how to fill their sun-drenched days.
Guests are free to roam the transparent seas of the Ari Atoll as they please in their air-conditioned, fully crewed Dhoni in truly decadent style. Imagine, for example, setting sail for a gourmet picnic on a deserted island with one of the spa's expert therapists on board for a spot of aromatherapy en-route. When land beckons, guest can retire to huge and airy thatched bungalows that are totally hidden amongst the lush foliage for total seclusion. Air-conditioned and furnished with glamorous and witty rustic chic, each has an outdoor dining area, a luxury bathroom with a private courtyard, an espresso machine and a fabulous sound system. Two also have freshwater plunge pools whilst each gives onto a private stretch of beach overlooked by traditional carved wooden swing beds in which to laze away the hours.

Dinner at sea under the stars, lunch at the water's edge or breakfast in a secluded spot on the silver sand; nothing is too much trouble.

ACCOMMODATION  Dhoni - There are only six luxuriously appointed, air-conditioned Dhonis, each partnered with its own intimate Beach Bungalow featuring outdoor, waterfall showers.
These 65ft traditionally handcrafted Maldivian sailboats are the epitome of simple elegance. The bow of the Dhoni is inviting with its comfy daybeds to laze on in the sunshine. At night your Thakuru (Maldivian Butler) will transform the deck into a sensual setting for dining under the stars. An inviting King-sized bed with Frette Linen and goose down duvet graces the beautifully decorated cabins.

 Beach Bungalow - With their elegant simplicity, these thatched bungalows are set amongst luxuriant tropical foliage facing the pristine ocean to engage all of the senses. The bungalows are air-conditioned, have an overhead fan, espresso machine, private bar, outdoor dining setting and Bose sound system with an 'Apple iPod'. The bathroom is graced with L'Occitane en Provence products. A deep bath leads to a secluded courtyard with a tropical shower open to the sun and stars.
Beach Bungalow and Plunge Pool - While similar to the Beach Bungalows and with the same features, these four individual beach bungalows offer a much larger private courtyard with your very own private freshwater plunge pool.
